Generic Synthroid Active Ingredient: Thyroxine

Generic name of the medicine is levothyroxine. It is a thyroid hormone. Therapeutic indication: low thyroid hormone and also goiter (certain kinds). It is not presupposed for the treatment of obesity or weight problems.

Do not make up for a left out dose taking more medicine at a time than needed. The drug requires time to show its effect. Do not terminate the administration abruptly. It is also required that the whole course of therapy was completed.
